Lots of great things to see. Followed the trail and the markers. The pup enjoyed it as well.

Large park with great hiking trails of medium difficulty. Hard to traverse with a normal stroller and toddler had difficulty walking the hills. Nature has begun reclaiming a few sections of the trails. The trail maps only contained info on the paved trails, but it would’ve been nice to have a map of the many unpaved trails you need to navigate to get to everything. Some very interesting info boards. Clean restrooms

Great little spot in Stafford county to enjoy nature. Lots of incline for cardio and nice trails... although, they can be a bit narrow at times (my husband and I couldn't walk side by side but not that big of a deal). My favorite parts were Battery Ridge (Spot 5) where the ditches were dug and the creeks throughout (you can see the largest part of the water flow at the parking lot near the winter camp structure). We will definitely be back to enjoy nature here. ❤️ Side note: I am a photographer and there isn't much structurally that you can take pics on or in front of. If you are looking for open fields (full sun) and woods this is your spot. 👍 Restrooms: Clean and nice. Water smells like poo, though. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly. Passed a few couples with their dogs as well. Leave no trace and clean up after your dog is expected - obviously. There are no bags provided so make sure you bring your own.
